Chief of Police
Joseph P. Consiglio
Joseph Consiglio was appointed to the position of Chief by the Weathersfield Township Trustees on February 5, 2002. He officially took office on March 1, 2002. Chief Consiglio resides in Weathersfield Township with his wife Nancy. He has four children, who all reside in the area.
The Chief's experience dates back to 1974, where he served as a Trumbull County Sheriff's Deputy/Detective through 1979. He joined the Weathersfield Township Police Department in 1984 as a Reserve Officer. Chief Consiglio held that position until December 1984, when he was hired as a Patrol Officer. In 1985, he was assigned as a Detective with the Weathersfield Township Police Department and then promoted to Captain in 1991, which he held until becoming Chief.

Michael J. Naples, Jr.
Michael J. Naples was appointed as the Captain by the Weathersfield Township Trustees on April 9, 2002. He officially assumed the position on April 15, 2002.
Captain Naples brings seventeen years of experience in law enforcement to the Weathersfield Police Department. Michael began his career in1984, with the Warren Township Police Department. He is no stranger to the Weathersfield Police Department, having served from 1986 to 1995. While working in Weathersfield, Michael was assigned to handle the Warrants Division, for a short time, prior to being appointed as Juvenile Officer. Michael worked as Juvenile Officer for seven years, and also filled in as a Detective when needed. In 1995, Michael was hired by the Girard Police Department. During his seven years in Girard, Michael worked as a Traffic Officer oh his turn, before being transferred to the Detective Division. In the Detective Division, Michael was assigned to the Girard City Schools as the School Resource Officer. For over three years, Michael was responsible for school safety issues, dealing with students, writing safe school policies, and working with school staff members. Michel was also assigned Acting Juvenile Officer.
Captain Naples resides in Girard with his wife, Maria and daughter.
